2015 Reading Goals

Happy Holidays, my friends!

It’s so hard to believe that 2014 is almost over. I’ll be doing a year end wrap up post later in the week, but I wanted to go ahead and set some goals for the upcoming year. I’m already on my way on some of them, and it’s going to be a pretty intense, educational year!

2015 PopSugar Challenge–I’ve talked about this challenge already in detail. I’ll be tracking my progress HERE!

Read one short story every weekday–I do this for the most part right now anyway, but my goal is to finish the Short Fiction collection I’ve been working through.

THE BIG GOAL–I am taking on what I call “study books.” These are the books I never seem able to finish. The books I get a chapter or two into and go…NOPE. The books that don’t have so much of a story to them, or have weird prose flow, or they are epic poetry or play formatting. THOSE books. So, rather than try and battle through them all at once, I’m going to break them up. I can manage a chapter a day, along with the short stories I read. It doesn’t take away from the regular books I read, and I know I’m going to get so much more out of them if I read them this way. Here’s the list I have posted on my bulletin board. I’m already halfway through The Iliad. The color coding just tells me what format I have the book in.

Goodreads Goal–I based my Goodreads goal on last years numbers, and I don’t really know what happened, but my reading just exploded this year, like almost 300% over last year, exploded. So, I’m going to set my 2015 goal at 200 books.

I’m so excited to see what 2015 brings and to be able to share it all with you!
