Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. I think we read this in middle school, and may have watched the movie too, but it’s a very vague memory now. I’m loving the book though, it’s fascinating.

  2. Without any effort of his will, or power to restrain himself, he shrieked aloud; an outcry that went pealing through the night, and was beaten back from one house to another, and reverberated from the hills in the background ; as if a company of devils, detecting so much misery and terror in it, had made a plaything of the sound, and were bandying it to and fro. “It is done!” muttered the minister, covering his face with his hands.
